In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 28, 2025 "On additional measures to accelerate the production and mineral resource base of essential minerals for industry for 2025-2026", employees of the State Institution "Institute of Mineral Resources" together with representatives of the Uzbek Technological Metals Plant conducted on-site work at the tailings and dumps of the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant.

The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the current state of man-made objects for the subsequent development of geological exploration methods, extraction technology aimed at studying the content of critical metals in them.

The implementation of this initiative will assess the potential of secondary resources and provide conditions for their cost-effective extraction, which, in turn, will become the basis for the formation of the mineral resource base of UzTMP.
