On July 15-16, 2025, specialists from the State Institution "Mineral Resources Institute," led by director Maksud Isakov, visited the Navoi region together with the management of JSC "Uzbekistan MMC" and the University of Geological Sciences.

The main purpose of the trip was to discuss the study of technogenic waste using scientifically based technologies with JSC "Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine."

As part of the visit, a trip was made to the GMZ-3 waste dumps in collaboration with specialists from JSC "Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine," where drilling and sampling work to be carried out within the framework of the project was discussed and planned.

At the conclusion of the visit, future work within the project framework was agreed upon.
