DEAR COLLEAGUES!
The history of studying mineral raw materials and metallurgy in Uzbekistan goes back to ancient times. We remember from our school days that in the 5th century BC, Herodotus announced to the world that there was "a lot of gold" from the Aral Sea to the Nurota mountains. In the basin of the Chirchik River, found by archeologists from redeposited layers of river sediments dating back to the beginning of the 1-st millennium BC, molds for casting mining objects such as bronze and clay, used in mining, indicate that gold deposits were mined here. From the beginning of the 8th century, reports of gold and its mining in "the land by the Amu River" and upstream of the Chirchik began to spread to many parts of the world.
World-famous great scientists - Abu Raykhan Beruni, Abu Ali Ibn Sina, Farobi and others in their works in the 10th century gave information about the presence of gold, non-ferrous metal deposits, and precious stones in the territory of Uzbekistan.
Following the rich traditions of their ancestors, modern geologists of the 20th century H.M. Abdullaev, H.T. Tolaganov, I.Kh. Khamraboev, H.N. Baymuhamedov, A.V. Korolev, P.A. Shechtman, K.L. Boboev. T.N. Dalimov and others made a great contribution to the development of Uzbek geology. The scientific schools they established were invaluable and still hold an important role in the science of geology.
During the years of independence, the Republic of Uzbekistan strengthened its position in the world market in terms of many minerals and reserves. More than three thousand deposits of 80 types of minerals have been identified in our republic. Gold, uranium, copper, gas, etc. are in the leading positions in terms of reserves and their extraction. From year to year, the indicators of mineral extraction are increasing, which in turn requires an increase in resources and reserves of minerals.
At the same time, among many achievements, there are many important problems and tasks that need to be solved in order to strengthen the mineral-raw material base of our country.
With the Decision of the Honorable President of June 8, 2020 №PD-4740 "On measures to organize the activities of the University of Geological Sciences in the system of the State Geology and Mineral Resources Committee" a modern education and science cluster based on 4 research institutes - University of Geological Sciences was established.
In addition, with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated March 2, 2022 "On measures to further improve the activities of the University of Geological Sciences within the system of the State Geology and Mineral Resources Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan" special emphasis is placed on the development of cooperation with foreign ITIs.
The decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 27, 2023 №PD-116 "On measures to effectively organize state management in the field of mining and geology within the framework of administrative reforms" approved the program for the development of the mineral-raw material base in 2023-2025, and scientific - specific directions and scope of research work is defined.
The main goal of this conference is to determine the priority directions of scientific research in the field of geological study of the earth's depth, to solve current problems related to scientific approaches and their introduction to production, to determine the demand for economically effective research in order to strengthen the base of mineral raw materials, geological sciences and mining is to determine the perspective plan of long-term scientific researches in the fields of industry.
On behalf of the organizing committee of the conference, you are invited to the "Geological and mineralogical study of mineral deposits, their extraction, enrichment and separation of useful components" organized by the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Institute of Mineral Resources of the University of Geological Sciences, on August 22, 2024. We invite you to participate in the international scientific-practical conference on the topic of "Innovative trends in the technologies of geological and mineralogical study of mineral deposits, their extraction, enrichment and extraction of useful components" (Tashkent, Uzbekistan).
At the international scientific-practical conference, it is planned to discuss a wide range of issues such as the development of geological and mining industries in our republic, scientific and practical solutions to existing problems, and the introduction of innovative technologies in the field of geology and mining.
