MINISTRY OF MINING INDUSTRY AND GEOLOGY
UNIVERSITY OF GEOLOGICAL SCIENCES
State institution "Institute of Mineral Resources"

THE MAIN TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT

The main tasks of the department are development and improvement of methods of geological prospecting and normative documents of the geological industry, stages of exploration process, classification of reserves, development of Conditions Feasibility Study and other functional tasks.

The department is also engaged in three-dimensional modeling of deposits of solid minerals and compilation of the Feasibility Study of Conditions as mentioned above. The effectiveness of our department is demonstrated by more than 30 projects prepared during the last three years.

A multi-stage structure of effective modeling of deposits of solid minerals, which consists of the following six steps.

Collection and systematization of exploration and exploitation data.

Compilation of a reliable database.

Contouring of ore bodies according to definite sides of content.

Mapping of ore bodies.

Block modeling and resource estimation.

Optimization of mine workings, including the opening and underground.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

Comparison of the data of geological exploration and production at the Guzaksay and Pirmirab gold deposits.

Study and analysis of reliability, as well as the choice of the optimal sampling methodology during the operation and extraction of the Oliy Ziyo ore pit.

Development of a feasibility study (feasibility study) of permanent exploration conditions with the calculation of reserves of gold-bearing ores as of the Kyzyl-Alma deposit for underground mining.

Creating a 3d model of structural faults and lithology at the combined Kalmakyr and Yoshlik-1 quarry.

RESEARCH RESULTS

The department has developed 13 regulatory and methodological documents in accordance with the requirements of the JORC Code.

Over the past 4 years, 12 feasibility studies have been developed for the Chukurkuduk, Davlat-Khoja Uzun-Sokol, Sardar, Barkhanly, Charmitan Sarykul, Khodjadik, Akba, Jetimtau, Sarmich, Biran fields.

An optimal sampling technique has been developed for operational exploration and mining of small mines of the Auminza-Amantaytau ore field;

Mining and comparison works were carried out according to the data of exploration and production of mines Charmitan, Aristantau, Chadak.

2 methodological manuals have been developed and approved for determining, standardizing, calculating and accounting for losses (losses) and degradation (impoverishment) of minerals during the development of the Marzhanbulak, Zarmitan, Daugiztau, Kokpatas deposits.
