On April 22–23 of this year, the sixth international symposium on the topic of “Uranium: Geology, Resources, Mining” was held in Moscow (Russia) at the N.M. Fedorovsky All-Russian Research Institute of Mineral Resources (FSBI “VIMS”).
A delegation consisting of employees of the University of Geological Sciences and the Institute of Mineral Resources took part in the symposium, with presentations reflecting the scientific potential of the university and the work carried out in the field of uranium. The event included reports on current geological problems in the field of uranium, exploration work, world resources and mining issues. The participants familiarized themselves with the activities carried out in foreign countries in the field of uranium geology, the results achieved, as well as plans for subsequent stages.
In addition, an exchange of views on current geological issues and innovative approaches to their solution took place with foreign scientific organizations.
