Specialists from the Mineral Resources Forecasting Department of the State Institution “Institute of Mineral Resources” of the University of Geological Sciences of the Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan are conducting geological work in the Chakilkalon Mountains, Urgut District, Samarkand Region.

Field research work is being carried out in the region under the project “Compilation of a multi-purpose geochemical map on a scale of 1:100 000 of the mountainous and foothill areas of Southern Uzbekistan and the Molguzar Mountains using modern analytical methods based on rational technology for their implementation.”
